Pet Obedience
Lyons offers pet obedience training classes using positive re-enforcement techniques for both purebred dogs and mixed breed dogs consisting of eight ("8") weekly sessions (including an orientation without their dogs) for owners and handlers.
Pet Obedience classes include:
Puppy Kindergarten
Puppy Kindergarten is for dogs younger than five months
BEGINNERS
Beginners for dogs five months and older with no previous training.
Beginners Level 2
Beginners Level 2 is for dogs who have completed Puppy Kindergarten or Beginners
Lyons Obedience Show training classes are for owners who intend to participate in Obedience shows under the guidelines of the AKC, UKC, or Mixed Breed organizations. The classes consist of eight ("8") weekly sessions (including an orientation without their dogs) for Novice Level 1 & 2 owners and handlers.
NOVICE 1
Dogs who have completed Beginners Level 2
Owners who have trained with their dogs at other facilities will be evaluated for placement at the appropriate class level.

- Obedience Trial Prep
- Beginner Novice
- Competition Novice
- Beginners Open
- Competition Open
- Group Utility Class
- Utility Classes are offered to members only and are scheduled on an individual basis with the instructor.
Also Available at Lyons
Guest training at the Novice level and above is available at $10.00 per dog per session, limit twice per month.
Guest training at the Utility level is based on availability and must be pre-arranged.

Owners wishing to preview classes prior to registering are invited to visit The Odeum on any regular scheduled class night. Please do not bring your dog.
